Communal dinners are served at the main homestead where all the guests share the dinner table. Traditional boerekos are served as three-course buffet meals. Fresh salads aren’t guaranteed as it is a luxury in this part of the world due to long distances from markets. It is imperative to book your meals in advance.

* All meals need to be booked and paid for in advance due to the long distances from major shopping towns.
* Dinner bed and breakfast guest: rates exclude alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. Guests are welcome to bring their own.
* Light lunches can be arranged with the hosts at an additional fee.
* Only coffee/tea is provided with meals.
* Self-catering guests should thoroughly clean all utensils, cutlery, and other equipment provided for their stay. An additional cleaning fee of R150.00 per day will be charged if there is not complied with this request.
* Braai wood can be bought here for R30.00 per bag, or guests are welcome to bring their own.
* The swimming pool is available to the guests provided that all children must be always under their own adult supervision.
* Remember to bring a flashlight and matches.
* The owners, managers, or staff at Zandvlakte are not responsible for any damages incurred by you, your family or other companions, or to your property during your stay on the property.
* Zandvlakte is a working farm. Caution should be taken by the guests in enjoying the freedom of the property.
