About Strawberry Fields John Lennon Memorial

This 2.5-acre section of Central Park, dedicated to the memory of John Lennon, derives its name from the Beatles song, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’. Completed in 1985, the memorial is located across the road from the apartment in which Lennon spent his latter years, and still attracts fans from across the world, who congregate in the iconic ‘Imagine’ circle.
