About Trout Lodge
Trout Lodge is situated in Underberg, a small town set in the Southern Drakensberg, Kwazulu-Natal. It is based at the foot of the world famous Sani Pass, which is the border of The Kingdom of Lesotho.
Accommodation at the Trout Lodge is farm and country style, offering simple self-catering accommodation in various size cottages. There are two, three or five bedroom units. Each unit has a fireplace, kitchenette facilities, bathrooms and lounge areas.
There is a wide range of activities like hiking, birding, canoeing, fly fishing, horse riding, photography or experiencing the adventurous Sani Pass in a guided 4X4 vehicle into Lesotho or simply wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and do nothing.
No smoking in the cottage permitted.
Maids service is available on request on non-public holidays until 16:00.
No noise after 22:00 at night.
No Wi-Fi but cellphone signal.
Fishing in Goxhill Dam is on catch and release basis.
It is a working Dairy Farm and all welcome to visit the Dairy.
