About Henk van Rooyen Park

Henk van Rooyen is a lovely resort situated in the wildlife sanctuary, Marloth Park.

The resort offers guests the choice of staying in one of the comfortable chalets or rondavels, or make use of the caravan stands situated on the river bank. The chalets and rondawels are furnished with double or single beds and can sleep four to six people. Each of the 10 caravan stands is roofed and each has a private braai area. The upgraded ablution facilities and the scullery room are shared between the stands, chalets and rondavels and consist of showers only. The resort also has a lovely pool.

Situated close to Komatipoort, Marloth forms part of the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park. Residents of Marloth are not allowed to fence their properties, creating unique experiences like waking up to find a bushbuck or a hippo in front of your caravan or chalet. Elephants are also nearby as they love to drink from and play in the Crocodile River and lions have been seen from time to time.

With excellent facilities provided, Henk van Rooyen aims to make guests' stay as exciting or relaxing as possible, whichever is preferred.

The chalets are very neat and comfortable. We stayed at no 1 and unfortunately the air-conditioning were not working. In tje extremely hot weather it is very unpleasant.

I had a wonderful time. Chalet #1 by the river was clean and comfortable with a lovely kitchen and bathroom had very nice bathtub with shower. The patio was well shaded. I saw hippos and elephants and many other animals as well as so many different kinds of birds who came to visit the nearby trees. The staff was warm and friendly, and I would definitely be willing to come here again. Everything in the chalet was in good working order. I could drink the water from the tap. I felt very safe and secure in the location. This is a very magical place!

Very comfortable for a weekend or maybe even week away. All you need if you love the bush. Bird-lovers paradise. This 3 chalets are not inside the main venue as per advertisement but separately also camped of in Krokodil street. Very quiet. Maybe better than inside the venue where we noticed the swimming pool was crowded and noisy with children. Only complaint is ceiling fan which has only and on/off switch. When on it is on maximum and sounds and feels like a helicopter taking off. This 3 chalets will be fantastic for a group of about 6-10 who wants to enjoy the bush. Own little Boma and...

Good day. Would just like to inform the guys at safari. The stay we had was very nice and had nothing to complain about, except for the picture above which was booked trough safari as the rondavel but was in actual fact the chalet and we surely did not have the view that is shown in the picture above. Please have a look at the advertising since it is false at this moment. Thank you.
